This article presents a study of the chemical composition of water
samples from the Blue Lakes in the Oryol region. These lakes have a high recreational value for local residents. One of the notable features of the lake is its
unusual blue color, which is due to its atypical mineral composition with a high
content of free carbonic acid, calcium, magnesium, carbonates, and sulfates, which,
combined with the composition of the soil, gives the lake its characteristic blue color.
